Stancikaitė

Aistė Stancikaitė is a Lithuanian artist based in Berlin whose work explores themes of identity, desire, longing, and the fluidity of gender and sexuality. Through obscured figures, repetition, and fetish-inspired imagery, she uses the human body as both a site of storytelling and emotional inquiry. Influenced by thinkers such as Judith Butler, Donna Haraway, and Carl Jung, her work blurs the line between the real and the imagined, the human and the artificial. With a slow, layered painting process and cinematic use of light and composition, Stancikaitė creates dreamlike scenes that invite open-ended narratives and quiet reflection on what is hidden, exposed, and imagined.
