Aline

de Laforcade

French-born and Ibiza-based, Aline de Laforcade is a self-taught artist working with raw, unspun fibers like flax, hemp, and wool top roving. Her sculptural wall and hanging pieces are born from an intuitive process: pulling, knotting, twisting, and suspending fibers into dense, expressive compositions. Her work evokes wild femininity, ritual, animism, and the ancient connection between body, earth, and thread. There's a savage elegance in her forms-structures that feel unearthed rather than made. De Laforcade reclaims weaving as something primal and physical, channeling the fierce, untamed energy of womanhood and landscape alike. She draws inspiration from artists such as Magdalena Abakanowicz, Olga de Amaral, and Gunta Stölzl, weaving a lineage of female power into her practice.

Her collectors include Emma Watson, Isabel Marant, and Martin Garrix. Her work has been featured in Vogue  In May 2025, Aline was selected as one of eight emerging artists for the Creators Collective, a summer showcase curated by Contemporary Art Now (CAN Art Fair), presented at Nikki Beach Ibiza.
