Through his painting practice, he explores the ephemeral nature of online images, drawing from his experiences growing up in the internet age. His fascination with digital media led him to focus on an audiovisual practice at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy. He later rediscovered a passion for painting, blending traditional techniques with digital imagery.
He is drawn to the daily inundation of online images. The uncanny corners of the internet have fascinated him since his early explorations into cyberspace. While the internet once seemed like a virtual space detached from reality, it also contained the entirety of the world’s information, hypnotizing an entire generation. In the 2000s, the internet was relatively more uncensored and less monetized than it is today, and the often uncanny images he consumed have continued to haunt him, forming an essential part of his memory.
