Francesc

Rosselló

Francesc Rosselló (Vilafranca de Bonany, Mallorca, 1994) is a visual artist whose pictorial practice is rooted in the autobiographical, proposing a narrative language that is symbolic and emotionally restrained. Through oil and acrylic on canvas, his work unfolds in scenes that oscillate between the intimate and the allegorical, where the body, the landscape, and suspended time form a personal iconography in constant evolution.

His painting, marked by quiet execution and atmospheric precision, invites an open reading in which the viewer becomes a reader of a fragmented narrative. Rosselló works with images that seem to emerge from a blurred memory or an interrupted dream: frozen interiors, figures in transit, displaced self-portraits, or nocturnal landscapes build a poetics of the in-between, of the unspoken, and of what is yet to come.

Throughout his work, the figure of the artist—painter, traveler, witness—appears as a recurring motif. His compositions incorporate subtle references to the history of painting, filtered through a contemporary sensitivity that avoids literalness in favor of emotional and conceptual resonance. He is interested in painting as a mental space, as affective architecture, and as a means to explore the tensions between identity, intimacy, and representation.

Rosselló holds a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona. His career includes solo exhibitions in galleries such as Pelaires (Palma), Horrach Moyà (Palma), Delimbo (Seville), Río & Meñaka (Madrid), and Lyle O. Reitzel (Santo Domingo), as well as participation in international art fairs such as ARCO Madrid, ARCO Lisboa, Enter Art Fair (Copenhagen), and Estampa. His work has been featured in exhibitions in cities including Madrid, London, Beijing, Hong Kong, and Santo Domingo, and has been reviewed in media outlets such as El Confidencial and Elemmental.
