Appleby
Louis Appleby (1991) lives and works in Lancaster, North England. He studied Painting at Wimbledon College of Art (BA) and Painting at the Royal College of Art London (MA). His work explores themes such as dystopia, destruction of the planet & futurology viewed through the lens of post digital humans. Aesthetically influenced by computer graphics, cartoons, video games and sci-fi films. His practice as an artist builds on the traditions of still-life painting & are highly rendered in a cartoon-like hyper realistic way.
