Martin Paaskesen (born in 1987, Aarhus, Denmark) is a contemporary artist currently living and working in Copenhagen. He initially trained as an actor at the Danish National School of Performing Arts, but discovered a passion for painting during his studies, which led him to shift his professional path toward visual art.

His work is defined by an intuitive and spontaneous approach, exploring a visual language that moves between figuration and abstraction. He often paints on raw, untreated canvas, allowing for a physical and tactile interaction with the material—an approach that reflects his background in performance, where the body serves as a tool for expression.

Paaskesen has exhibited internationally at various galleries and art fairs, including Valerius Gallery in Luxembourg, Annika Nuttall Gallery in Aarhus, and Galería Fran Reus in Palma de Mallorca.
