Marcelis
Sabine Marcelis is a renowned Dutch designer born in New Zealand, celebrated for her sculptural approach to design and her innovative use of light, material, and color. After graduating from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2011, she established her studio in Rotterdam, where she operates at the intersection of art, design, and architecture.
Her work is known for its formal purity, immaculate finishes, and a contemporary aesthetic that has earned her international acclaim. She has collaborated with brands such as Fendi, Dior, IKEA, Hem, and the Fondation d’entreprise Martell, and created installations for museums, design fairs, and public spaces.
Among her most iconic works are her translucent resin and light sculptures, which challenge sensory perception and celebrate the intangible. In 2020, she was named “Designer of the Year” by the Elle Deco International Design Awards.
