Kito
Sébastien Kito is a French sculptor born in 1963. He lives and works in Paris. Of Japanese descent, Kito has long explored the dialogue between his two cultural identities, drawing inspiration from both Eastern and Western artistic traditions. A graduate of the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, he has been closely connected to key figures such as Pierre Alechinsky and Raymond Hains. His sculptural practice, using materials like steel, resin, and plexiglass, is defined by abstract forms that explore balance, transparency, and movement. Each piece explores a subtle tension between stability and lightness, expressed through a clear and thoughtful visual language rooted in the present.
