Anna Lugovska is a multifaceted visual artist whose practice bridges Basel and London, drawing from Eastern European heritage and Western innovation.

Her foundation lies in Kyiv, where she trained at T. Shevchenko State Art School and earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees in monumental painting (2019) from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture. There, she also defended her PhD in History and Theory of Art (2023), balancing this with studies at the University of Basel in Switzerland. Advancing further, she completed a Master's in Painting at the Royal College of Art, London (2026), followed by postdoctoral research at the Swiss Institute for Advanced Studies – Collegium Helveticum, ETH Zurich (2024–25).

Lugovska's work has captivated audiences through exhibitions in Switzerland, the UK, USA, China, Montenegro, the UAE, and Ukraine, securing places in private collections across the globe. Her transformative residencies include Acentric Space in Shanghai, China (2025); Atelier Mondial in Basel, Switzerland (2022); Made in Chernobyl, Ukraine (2019); Art Optimism in Newburgh, NY, USA (2018); and Artists for the Museums of Montenegro in Kotor (2016).
