Javier
Ruiz
The work of Javier Ruiz is characterized by its scenographic effect, seeking the impact produced when “the curtain rises.” His paintings, marked by a distinctive impasto texture, create a romantic and decadent atmosphere within an apparently calm landscape, often incorporating references to Andalusian culture. Within this setting, different characters gradually come to life, bringing us closer to instincts, passions, miseries and everything that surrounds human existence.
Trained between Madrid and Los Angeles, his work has been exhibited in Spain, Australia, South Korea, Panama, the Netherlands and the United States. His work is also part of major collections such as the Museum Voorlinden collection in the Netherlands, The Green Family Foundation in the United States and Roux Contemporary Art in Panama.
