Kerwick
Jordy Kerwick (b. 1982, Melbourne, Australia) is a painter based in Gaillac, France. A self-taught artist, he began painting in 2016 after a career in music, developing a richly layered and visually distinct language that quickly drew the attention of galleries and collectors.
Kerwick’s solo exhibitions include Sirens of Venice, Patricia Low Contemporary, Venice (2025); Printemps Sur Tarn, Carl Kostyal, Stockholm (2025); Yorkshire Sculpture Park, UK (2025, 2023); Museo Thyssen, Madrid (2023, 2023); Vito Schnabel Gallery, Los Angeles (2022); and Union Gallery, London (2021), among others. Earlier solo shows include exhibitions in Sydney, Tokyo, Oakland, and Melbourne.
He has also participated in prominent group exhibitions, including Chutzpah, Jewish Museum of Australia, Melbourne (2025); Aisho Nanzuka, Hong Kong (2024); Secci Gallery, Milan (2024); Sotheby’s, Los Angeles (2022); Galerie Perrotin, Dubai (2022); and shows in NYC, Antwerp, Denmark, and London.
Kerwick’s work is held in major public and private collections, including the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid; Denver Art Museum, USA; ICA Miami, Florida, USA; and Fulton Ryder (Richard Prince). His paintings continue to receive international recognition for their emotional intensity, layered surfaces, and vividly personal vision.
