Maximilian Daniels' explores repeated processes and the materiality of paint; the mixing of colour, the delicate layering of surface and the application of gestural marks, focusing on observation, representation and technique through a slow layering of translucent pigment.  His paintings develop as a response to his environment, particularly the interplay of light and glass.
