Pau
AguilĂł
Pau Aguiló (Palma, Mallorca, 2002) lives, works, and studies in London. He grew up between the countryside of Mallorca and the city, where from an early age he began to immerse himself in his surroundings, allowing his life experiences to shape his artistic perspective. During his childhood in the countryside, with few distractions beyond toys and a few pencils, drawing became an essential part of his life, a passion that endures to this day.
Over the years, Pau found inspiration in various sources: films, illustrated books, comics, poetry, literature, and the works of both classical and contemporary artists. His life took a turn when he moved to downtown Palma, where graffiti caught his attention, and he began exploring this art form, swapping brushes and pencils for spray cans. At the age of fifteen, he decided to spend a year in a country house in Ireland, an experience that had a profound impact on him, broadening his worldview and solidifying his commitment to art.
Upon returning to Mallorca, he continued his education at a local arts-focused school and held his first solo exhibition. In 2020, he moved to London to study Fine Arts at the University of the Arts London (UAL). It was at this time that his artistic practice began to integrate a fusion of elements and ideas drawn from the rich collections of urban museums and the vibrant London art scene.
