Oller

Ramiro Oller (Buenos Aires, 1982) lives and works in Basel. He studied at the Instituto Universitario Nacional de Arte (IUNA) and participated in the 2011 Artists Program of the Universidad Torcuato di Tella and the LIPAC-UBA-ROJAS-2010.

His works investigate the gap that is generated between the illusionist tradition of painting and the material reality of the painting-object. Without completely abandoning the plane of painting and collage, his work is characterized by the use of unconventional materials.

He has been selected for numerous exhibitions and awards both in Argentina and abroad. Worthy of note are: Convocatoria Luis Adelantado (XII) (Spain), Colar at the Galería Belizário (Brazil), Premio Proyecto A (6th and 7th edition), Premio UADE (4th edition) and Premio Fundación Williams (2008).

He has participated in group exhibitions at the galleries ThisIsNotAGallery, Jacques Martínez, Wussmann, and Lordi. In September 2024, he collaborated for the first time with the Pelaires Gallery, participating in the group exhibition Species of Spaces. A collective reflection on what to think about this world. He has had two solo exhibitions at the Braga Menéndez Gallery: Las manos colortónicas y el ojo muñón (2010) and FANTASMA (2012).
