“Ibicenco” — A Tribute to the Creative Spirit of Ibiza

For the past ten years, Ibicenco has stood as a vibrant tribute to the island of Ibiza and its profound impact on global creative culture. Curated by Diego and Alexeja in partnership with MONDO GALERIA, this annual exhibition explores the island’s unique energy—what they call the Balearic “floating crystal rock”—and its magnetic pull on visionary minds from antiquity to today.

Since its debut in 2015, Ibicenco has celebrated the spirit of freedom, artistic expression, and conscious living that defines the “Ibicenco” way of being. From Cleopatra and the ancient Punics to 20th-century icons like Raoul Hausmann, Erwin Broner, Nico, Pink Floyd, Naomi Campbell, and the ethos of Woodstock, Ibiza’s cultural tapestry is woven through every edition of the show.

Presented in iconic locations across the island, each iteration is thoughtfully placed to foster dialogue between Ibiza’s architectural heritage and contemporary art. Over the years, the exhibition has evolved—from a historically anchored narrative to a deeply personal, immersive journey. It reflects the transformative experience of arriving in Ibiza: the awe of its natural beauty, the depth of its cultural legacy, and the inner awakening it inspires.

Ibicenco X is a celebration of Ibiza’s timeless role as a cradle of counterculture, creative freedom, and spiritual exploration.
