Celebrating 10 years of groundbreaking exhibitions, Fundación La Nave Salinas presents two solo shows this summer: Spencer Lewis (June 21) and Pedro Pedro (August 16). Under the leadership of Lio and Isaac Malca, the foundation continues its mission to showcase bold contemporary art in its iconic 8,000 sq ft salt warehouse by the sea. Since 2015, La Nave has hosted landmark projects by artists like Keith Haring, KAWS, Eva Beresin, and Bill Viola, making it a cornerstone of the Ibiza art scene.

Spencer Lewis (b. 1979) creates vivid paintings on jute, saturated with bright colors and marked by heavily worked, tactile surfaces. Streaked lines, smears of paint, and rough, slashed strokes crisscross with visceral force—the result of unbridled movements that deliberately subject the canvas to fatigue and overworking, unveiling an organic power. While his gestural vigor recalls Abstract Expressionist action painting, the striking palette resonates with Modernism.
