Francesco Tosini at SAFA

"To See a World in a Grain of Sand And a Heaven in a Wild Flower" by Francesco Tosini presents an installation composed of around twenty digital flowers distributed throughout the landscape of SAFA. Each sculpture incorporates one of the world’s smallest display screens, showing the image of a single flower. The screens are mounted on slender brass stems approximately one meter high, with batteries integrated into their bases.

The work is based on a direct relationship between object and experience. Because the screens are so small, the image can only be seen by moving very close to each sculpture, much in the same way one approaches a flower to observe its details. The installation transforms the site into a garden of digital flowers, where the individual observation of each element becomes an essential part of the work.

Conceived for presentation at SAFA, the installation brings together up to twenty eight sculptures distributed across the field, creating a garden of digital flowers. Each piece can be positioned freely within the space, allowing the work to unfold as an open composition in which technology, image and environment coexist within a single proposal.
