IA x Ruttkowski;68 at Can Arnau

Ruttkowski;68 presents IA, a private artists’ dinner and exhibition conceived specifically for CAN Art Ibiza 2026. The project takes place at Can Arnau, an estate located in the geographical center of Ibiza that preserves two traditional buildings, one of them dating back to around 1700. The uniqueness of the site lies in the coexistence of vernacular architecture, vegetation and animal life, creating an environment where landscape and memory remain closely intertwined.

The exhibition’s title refers to the bray of a donkey (ia), a recurring presence on the estate and a symbol of the project’s intention to shift attention beyond an exclusively human perspective. The exhibition proposes an understanding of art, nature, animals, architecture and coexistence as parts of a shared ecosystem, transforming the space into an experience rather than a conventional exhibition setting.

Conceived as a temporary gathering of artists, collectors and cultural figures, IA brings together a selection of artworks alongside a vegetarian dinner and a program centered on conversation and direct engagement with the site. More than a traditional exhibition, the project proposes a way of experiencing art through movement, listening and interaction with the surrounding environment.

The exhibition features works by Nadezhda Georgieva, Dennis Buck, Carolina Aguirre, Stefan Strumbel, Luciano Calderon, Prosper Legault, Sandra de Keller, Tillmann Lauterbach and Clemens Thurn, transforming Can Arnau into a meeting point between contemporary artistic practices and the singular character of the Ibizan landscape.

CAN Local is an initiative by CAN Art Fair Ibiza designed to highlight the cultural, artistic and exhibition projects taking place across the island during the fair, helping to connect and strengthen Ibiza’s cultural ecosystem.
