Li Ramet en Casa Can Cas

Casa Can Cas presents Constellation, a new series of works by Li Ramet developed around her research into textiles, memory and the act of making. On the occasion of the exhibition, the artist will also present her first limited edition publication. The opening will take place on June 24, and the exhibition will remain on view until June 26 by appointment.

Ramet’s practice stems from an intimate relationship with textile materials, using antique fabrics such as linen, silk and cotton that she incorporates into compositions where past and present coexist on the same surface. Her works move between figuration and abstraction, combining hand embroidery, sewing and textile collage in pieces that connect artisanal tradition with contemporary language.

At the core of her work is a slow and meditative temporality. In contrast to the acceleration of the digital, Ramet develops repetitive and manual processes in which each gesture becomes inscribed in the material. The fabrics therefore function as spaces of memory, presence and transformation, constructed through attention to touch, rhythm and accumulation.

The exhibition is presented in dialogue with the architecture of Casa Can Cas, a traditional Ibizan estate located in Santa Agnès de Corona. The setting, shaped by calmness and the materiality of the landscape, amplifies the intimate nature of the works and extends the relationship between body, space and time that runs throughout the artist’s practice.
