Open Call 2025-2026 at Ses12naus
05.06 - 21.10.2026
The Open Call 2025/26 is the annual artistic residency programme of the Ses12naus Foundation, aimed at visual artists and curators with proposals in dialogue with the cultural, social and natural context of Ibiza. The current edition brings together the projects developed by Gala Knörr, Diogo da Cruz and Marina Marón during a residency structured in two phases: research in autumn and production in spring.
The exhibition unfolds as a fragmented cartography of Ibiza past and present: a region traversed by temporal leaps, partial memories, fictions and forms of community that still endure. Gala Knörr's project approaches club culture and Ibizan nightlife as spaces of temporary communion, through paintings and a collectively made printed textile piece. Marina Marón takes the payesa house as a form of knowledge and transmission, developing drawings and small sculptures that engage with vernacular architecture and family memory. Diogo da Cruz moves towards the salt flats as a territory crossed by multiple temporalities, constructing a speculative fiction accompanied by sculptures in ceramic and salt.
The exhibition does not aspire to function as a conclusion, but as the natural continuation of a process still open. Moving between the documentary and the intuitive, the works trace connections between different ways of inhabiting the island and projecting upon it desires and collective imaginaries. The exhibition is curated by Cristina Anglada.
CAN Local is an initiative by CAN Art Fair Ibiza designed to highlight the cultural, artistic and exhibition projects taking place across the island during the fair, helping to connect and strengthen Ibiza’s cultural ecosystem. The promotion of the CAN Local program is supported by Ocean Drive Talamanca.
