Govern de les Illes Balears and Es Baluard Museu

El Govern de les Illes Balears in collaboration with Es Baluard Museu d’Art Contemporani de Palmawill grant an acquisition award at CAN Art Fair 2026, further strengthening the ties between the fair and the leading cultural institutions of the Balearic Islands. The museum, whose collection includes more than 900 works by key figures in modern and contemporary art, from Joan Miró, Pablo Picasso and Antoni Tàpies to Miquel Barceló and Marina Abramović, continues its commitment to incorporating new contemporary practices and voices into its collection.

2026 awards are: 

-Acquisition Award for the dialogue between "Seven Pieces", 1999, by Hamish Fulton, and "John Ruskin's Little Rock", 2026, by Chema López (1 MIRA MADRID / 2 MIRA ARCHIV).
-Acquisition Award for "Lo que queda de nosotros", 2026, by Ela Fidalgo (MARC BIBILONI)
