Sofia Gomez Fonzo & Rachel Weschke at Olas Gallery

Olas Gallery presents Textures of Time, a collaborative exhibition by Sofia Gomez Fonzo and Rachel Weschke that brings together a dialogue between photography and clay, rooted in the landscape of Ibiza. The exhibition is based on the idea of time as a layered presence, connected both to the everyday and to the geological.

Through their practices, both artists work with open processes in which matter and image are shaped through direct experience and contingency. Sofía’s photography introduces a dimension linked to memory and the analogue, while the use of clay in Rachel’s work points to broader temporal scales, connecting the immediate with the ancestral. Together, the exhibition approaches time not as a continuous line, but as a superimposition of moments, where the unexpected and the accidental become an essential part of the creative process.
