Julie
Haverkamp
Growing up in Rotterdam in a creative family with two grandfathers as architects, Julie Haverkamp (b. 1997) developed her love for drawing and painting. It began with portrait drawing, a way to find moments of calm and lose herself in her imagination. Her work is deeply rooted in the quiet she finds in nature, especially by the sea. For Julie, painting is a personal form of escape, a space where thoughts and emotions come together on the canvas. The process matters just as much as the final piece. She embraces the unpredictability of reusing materials such as leftover fabric, allowing them to spark unexpected connections and bring life into her work.
