At CAN Ibiza, NewHouse presents a selection of artists whose practices are rooted in material exploration, transformation, and the reimagining of familiar forms. Moving between art, design, craft, and experimentation, each artist investigates how meaning emerges through process, material, and perception.

Julie Haverkamp presents works from her Fragments series, rooted in fleeting memories, landscape, and sensory traces drawn from the island. Claire Witteveen, known for her exceptional use of colour and technique, will present a selection focused exclusively on her abstract works. Floor Merjenburgh exhibits FORM, a ceramic continuation of her research into gravity and material behaviour following Merged by Gravity.

Allard Warmelink works at the intersection of design and sculpture, creating objects that balance familiarity with reinterpretation. Willem van Hooff explores the potential of forgotten techniques, materials, and products, giving new relevance to overlooked elements of the past. Roosje van Donselaar creates sculptural works that emerge from the interplay of material investigation and historical research, driven by a fascination with how humans create meaning across time and cultures.

Together, these artists share an interest in transformation: of materials, memories, objects, and ideas. Their works invite viewers to look again, discovering new perspectives within what may initially seem familiar. There is a quiet sense of recognition throughout the presentation, as if returning to something known, yet seen anew.
