Keru Chen's creative practice unfolds across multiple media, taking the form of a process of continuous accumulation and rolling generation. Painting, sculpture, collage, writing, animation, and sound—each work inspires another, and the various media calibrate and stimulate one another, gradually forming a dynamic, self-generating linguistic system. Taken together, her practice (regardless of medium) can be broadly described as a state of capture achieved through observation and waiting—implying a coexistence of relaxation and focused attention, with perceptual precision serving as the driving force. The artist consciously weakens her own control over each medium, making room for "humor" (a lightness that coexists with the universe) to emerge, and transforming her role from that of a maker into a trigger, observer, and participant. In this process, meaning is no longer imposed, outcomes cannot be predicted, yet they are always "discerned" and "recognized" through continuous activation.
