Bowles

James Bowles (b. 1999, Westport, CT) is a multidisciplinary artist who draws from urban and suburban experience to create work that challenges perceptions of memory and media consumption, particularly tobacco advertising and Formula 1 racing. Following his participation in shows at the MoCA Westport, Bowles attended the School of Visual Arts, graduating with a BFA in Visual and Critical Studies. He has published work in several magazines, including Curatorial Affairs, and exhibited work at the Contemporary Art Now fair in Ibiza, Rogue Space Penthouse, and SVA Flatiron Gallery. He lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
