Font Arroyo
Aleix Font Arroyo is an artist who explores concepts such as space, emptiness, borders, and identity, taking the grid as a symptom and symbol of order and control. His work combines the use of graffiti’s pictorial residue as a working methodology—stains, drips, and spontaneous marks—with meticulously analyzed processes, generating pictorial fictions that address the relationship between the individual’s self-perception and how they are perceived by others.
Through compositions that oscillate between minimalism and complexity, Font investigates the tension between chaos and structure, between the individual and the collective, inviting viewers to question how we inhabit space and construct meaning. His work reflects a deep consideration of the organization of the environment, seeking new forms of visual perception and aesthetic exploration.
Since 2014, he has explored various methodologies of collective creation, collaborating with communities in peripheral neighborhoods to produce murals and installations that integrate their voices and identities. These experiences enrich his artistic practice, allowing him to reflect on issues such as public space, borders, and identity, and ultimately closing the circle between the communal and the individual.
