He has taken part in numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout his career. His solo projects include The Armory Show in New York (2020), a two person presentation at Expo Chicago with Diana Fonseca in 2019, and The Need for Other Airs, a collateral project during the 12th Havana Biennial in 2015, among others. He has also participated in major group exhibitions such as Transfusión, part of the 13th Havana Biennial, Diamante en rough at Galleria Continua in Havana, and On the Horizon at Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM). His presence in these contexts highlights his active engagement with both national and international art scenes.
Arles’s work has earned significant recognition, including grants from SOMA in Mexico City (2017), the Cuban Artists Fund in New York (2014) and the Vermont Studio Center (2013). These awards testify to the innovative nature and impact of his practice. His work is held in prominent collections such as the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) and the Shelley and Donald Rubin Foundation in New York, as well as in numerous private collections across the United States, Europe and Latin America.
