Ayaka Endo (b. 1994) is a Tokyo-based artist and photographer. She primarily creates photographic works inspired by nature, animals, and landscapes, approaching them as “independent others” and seeking to capture the sacred presence within. Through the imaginative lens of animism, her painterly and visionary images reveal the blurred boundaries shaped by human intervention in nature, while inviting a reconsideration of the relationship between the individual and the myriad phenomena of the world.
