González Sainz
He holds a degree in Fine Arts from the University of the Basque Country and lives and works in Periedo, Cantabria. He has developed most of his artistic career in Spain and collaborates with several galleries across the country. Over the course of his trajectory he has received numerous awards, including: 2004 Honourable Mention at the 17th “Ciudad de Zamora” Painting Biennial; 2005 “Best Cantabrian Artist” at the Certamen de Artes Plásticas, Government of Cantabria; 2008 Prize at the 6th National Painting Competition, Parliament of La Rioja; 2009 Prize at the Focus-Abengoa International Painting Competition; and in 2015 the Gold Medal at the 76th International Exhibition of Fine Arts in Valdepeñas.
Emilio González Sainz’s work is represented in various national collections, including: Museo de Bellas Artes de Santander; Colección Testimoni, La Caixa, Barcelona; Colección Caja Cantabria; Colección Parlamento de La Rioja; Colección Norte, Government of Cantabria; Fundación Provincial de Cultura, Diputación de Cádiz; Prosegur Collection, Barcelona; Fundación Focus-Abengoa, Seville; and Caja Extremadura Collection.
