Ariza

She is a Dominican visual artist and educator. Her most recent solo exhibition, Amas de leche, was presented at Artpace San Antonio (USA, 2024). She presented the video artwork Aquellas tres mareas at the National Art Gallery Livingstone (Zambia, 2024). In 2023, she developed the project Imaginaciones del mito, commissioned by the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Puerto Rico (MAC), and took part in the Black Barcelona encounter in Spain. She was awarded prizes at the 28th Eduardo León Jimenes Art Competition (Dominican Republic, 2021) and the 27th National Biennial of Visual Arts (Dominican Republic, 2013).

Her work is included in the collections of KADIST, the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Puerto Rico, the Museo de Arte Moderno de la República Dominicana, and Centro León. As an artist-in-residence, she has participated in Terremoto Travesías II (Mexico, 2025), 33OC (Italy, 2025), Artpace San Antonio (USA, 2024), Konvent Art Residency (Spain, 2023), Rockland Woods (USA, 2023), the Office for Contemporary Art Norway (2021–2022), Künstlerhaus Schloss Balmoral (Germany, 2013), and AS220 (USA, 2012). She is also the co-creator of the Dominican art editorial project Onto.

Her work has been exhibited at MECA Mercado Caribe International Art Fair (Dominican Republic), the New York Latin American Art Triennial (USA), Art Wynwood International Contemporary Art Fair (USA), the CUNY Dominican Studies Institute (USA), Made in Balmoral Gallery (Germany), Centro Cultural de España (Dominican Republic), Casa Quien (Dominican Republic), Museo de Arte Moderno (Dominican Republic), Atrium Gallery (USA), among others.
