Kanaha Iwasaki (b.1996) is a Tokyo-based artist.Her practice explores how memory transforms and what remains over time. She questions how time flows—or whether it truly flows at all. Through storytelling in painting, she examines what occurs between herself, the viewer, and the work: where the boundaries and shared points between “self” and “other” lie.

By painting, Iwasaki investigates how the pictorial space differs from, or connects to, the space in which she exists, seeking to understand what painting as a medium can make possible.
