Kang Haoxian is an artist trained at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing. His work grows out of his experience of living in Los Angeles, a city whose light, aesthetics and social life permeate his scenes: sun tanned bodies, endless parties and a gleaming hedonism that borders on the cinematic. He works with an airbrush to capture this atmosphere in an immediate, fluid way, generating images that breathe spontaneity and desire. Haoxian creates a universe where the glamorous and the ephemeral coexist, revealing the beauty and fragility of a world built around a constant, dazzling glow.
