Klaas Vanhee’s work always begins with direct reverberation through his own body and the external world, leaving no room for any fundamental or transcendental principles that might constrain it. His practice, both sculpture (sculpted illustrations of drawings) and drawing, constitutes a search for acting without thinking, placing us in a space where everything is possible and permitted.
