1999–2004 BA in Fine Arts, Painting, University of Vigo.

Her work evokes the most primary spirit of minimalist art, in the sense coined by philosopher Richard Wollheim in the 1960s. It is marked by a simplicity stripped of redundant detail, bringing perception back to basic conditions such as viewpoint and light, and apparently setting aside any associative value, whether symbolic or intellectual. Paradoxically, however, many words are often used to speak about what does not need words.

Minimalism is characterised as an art that rejects “content”; one could say that its true raison d’être is concealed within the relationship between viewer and object. Throughout her practice, we see a shift from the traditional two-dimensional plane to three-dimensionality, so that the viewer experiences a change in point of view and, with it, a change in what is observed.
