Perroteau

Thomas Perroteau (Paris, 1992) is a visual artist who first trained in architecture and later in painting at La Cambre (Brussels). He understands painting as both territory and journey. His work explores, through experimentation, the potential of painting as a space of transformation, drawing on a personal imaginary where human figures, animals and symbols coexist, emerging like apparitions on eroded surfaces.

After international experiences in Vietnam and Brazil, Perroteau has developed a highly personal technique that underpins his visual language: an acrylic transfer process in which he layers, seals and peels fabrics to generate stratified, almost archaeological images. He currently lives and works in Palma de Mallorca. His work has been shown in group exhibitions at spaces and galleries such as Casal Solleric (Palma), Pal Project (Paris), Herrero de Tejada (Madrid), Baró Galería and TACA Studio (Palma de Mallorca).
