With her most recent production of oil paintings, notably her Transparaître series, she continues the research of her previous Corps recouverts series, revisiting historical codes of the nude from a contemporary queer perspective. Drawing on both the technical and iconographic traditions of painting, her artworks represent translucent bodies with only certain opaque parts realistically painted. The subjects are partially revealed in a dreamlike universe where vulnerability and interdependence express the richness of interpersonal bonds. Along with evoking their own medium in a self-referential manner, in line with an earlier series entitled Peintures blanches, these works blur the reading of bodily forms and sexual markers, opening a space for critical reflection on identity.
