Llamazares Galería opened its doors in 2005, founded by Gema Llamazares. After twenty years dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of contemporary and emerging art, in 2021 her daughter, Diana Llamazares, took over the direction, renewing the gallery’s visual identity and brand and embarking on an exciting new chapter. This phase brings together the work ethic, coherence and perseverance that have defined the gallery over the last fifteen years with the energy, enthusiasm and fresh perspectives of a new generation, enriching the project as it moves forward.

Based in Gijón, the gallery’s exhibition programme presents the work of mid-career artists alongside that of young creators, to whom the gallery offers a platform for visibility and a long-term commitment to their artistic development. Through curated projects, co-productions with other spaces and a strong presence at national and international art fairs, Llamazares Galería has built a dynamic project that seeks to highlight the broad range of cultural approaches and aesthetic proposals that shape contemporary art today.
